Director of Education
For 30 years, Kris worked at numerous successful startups, including Sun Microsystems, NeXT, and Netscape, centering his technical expertise around networked computing of all kinds. Kris' coding interest, dormant for many years of management focus, was re-kindled about 10 years ago when he returned to his roots as a computer scientist (Purdue, '84), writing web apps and mobile apps. He has been working on the idea of digital assets since about 1996.
Lead Technical Instructor
Froilan has been a software and web applications developer for over 15 years. He has created interactive user experiences for a variety of industries, including the video game and pharmaceutical industries.
Lead Technical Instructor
With over 15 years in web and software development, Dolio first gained interest in programming while building a physical therapy device with web connectivity at MIT, where he received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Since then, Dolio has developed software for telecommunications, online learning applications, and e-commerce for various industries and institutions, as well as serving as an instructor and mentor to students of all ages.
Technical Instructor/Lead Curriculum Developer
Leon received his Computer Science degree from Delaware State University, where he worked as an Undergraduate Researcher in the areas of bioinformatics engineering and spectroscopy. Prior to Zip Code, Leon worked as a software developer at a financial services company.
Nhu began building websites through Geocities in the late 90s. She received her B.S. in Computer Science from Temple University. Since then, she had worked in many industries including financial, e-commerce, startup, and social good incubator. With more than 10 years of coding experience, Nhu is excited to help others begin their own tech careers.
Dominique Clarke is a self-taught developer with a love of design and a knack for learning and teaching. While pursuing her own tech career, she guided others as a Co-Organizer for Girl Develop It Wilmington and speaker for Women Who Code Dallas. Prior to working for Zip Code Wilmington, she worked as a software developer for a financial tech company.
Wilhem is a self-described "well-rounded computer geek." Wilhem got their start in robotics as a young teen and continued to grow and excel in many areas of computer science and software development. While their main interests are in back-end web technology, Wilhem revels in taking on challenges in any environment and continues to learn new technologies and stacks for the simple joy of programming and creating. Wilhem has been programming for the last 9 years of their life.
Technical Instructor/Project Manager
Mikaila is a Full-Stack Developer and alumni of Zip Code Wilmington. After completing coding boot camp, Mikaila was a Software Developer at Comcast. While volunteering at Delaware State University's App Academy, he discovered his passion for teaching. He later decided to combine his love for computer science and his passion for education and joined Zip Code as a Project Manager.
Melanie previously practiced employment law as an attorney in Washington, D.C. and has experience representing employers in a broad range of employment matters. She studied Business Administration at Franklin & Marshall College, and she received her J.D. from William & Mary School of Law.

Tariq is a veteran software engineer with over 15 years of industry experience in software development. He has also been a distinguished Java instructor for Temple University's MESA program since 2011.
Janelle has over 12 years of experience in creative design and marketing. Her diverse background includes print & web design, art direction, brand strategy, event planning and advertising.
Nancy received her B.S. in Business Education and a Master’s Degree in Management. Prior to Zip Code, she worked in various administrative roles at a community college for the past 13 years, and before that she worked as Admissions Office Manager at a private school in New Jersey.
Dan comes to Zip Code after working in higher education for over 15 years. Along with his extensive background in working with students, he has performed & taught improvisation for over a decade. He is incredibly excited to work with applicants throughout their admissions process, while teaching our cohorts improvisational skills that will benefit them in their professional careers and beyond.
Student and Alumni Relations Coordinator
Sian received her B.A. in English and Philosophy. Her undergraduate leadership experience is concentrated in Student Affairs, Alumni Relations, and Social Media Communications including 2 internships and 2 years' Lead Resident Assistant experience with the Albright College Office of Residential Life, and a social media internship with the Visitors Bureau of Reading, Pennsylvania.
